High Flying's modules dramatically reduce the development time of Wi-Fi based products by simplifying designing, testing, certifying, and manufacturing products. Wi-Fi modules portfolio includes the series of high performance modules (HF-A11), low power modules (HF-LPB) and low power & tiny size modules (HF-LPT). Development kits are also available to evaluate the features and capabilities of the modules.
 

The HF-A11 is a high performance Wi-Fi module designed for embedded applications. It supports 802.11 b/g/n wireless standards, TCP/IP/UDP network protocols, and WEP/WPA PSK/WPA2 PSK encryption standards. The GPIO, UART and ETHERNET interfaces are included for easy communication. The HF-A11 can operate in Station (STA) mode, Access Point (AP) mode or AP+STA mode. Support for Router/Bridge mode networking is also provided. With its tiny size of 40x25mm, it is ideally suited for handheld
devices. The module is available in a through hole 2x7 pin header (HF-A11) and surface mount (HF-A11-SMT-1). Both mounting versions of the HF-A11 have the option of an internal chip antenna.

The HF-LPB100 is an advanced, low power, self-contained Wi-Fi module suitable for devices with UART/SPI interface. With power saving technique, the current consumption is as low as 12mA. The module integrates the media access controller (MAC), baseband processor and RF transceiver with power amplifier in hardware. The on-board software includes a complete Wi-Fi protocol, configuration utility and networking stack. As a result, the users are provided with a fully self-containted Wi-Fi module solution for a variety of applications. The module supports Smart Link and Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) features as well as wirelses and remote firmware upgrade function. It is encapsulated in a compact and low-profile SMT package (23.1x32.8x2.7mm) that is optimized for devices with limited space. An integrated antenna is provided for design simplification.

The HF-LPT100(S) module offers similar functionality to the HF-LPB100 module but it is available in a smaller package of a 22x13.5mm size. It contains a DIP 1x10 pin type connector that allows easy and quick implementation. The HF-LPT100-10 version is provided with IPEX connector for external antenna and HF-LPT100S-10 features an integrated copper-line antenna. Both modules provide PWM signal output - three channels for HF-LPT100-10 version and four channels for HF-LPT100S-10. The HF-LPT200-1 module has the same size as HF-LPT100(S) but it is housed in a low profile SMT17 package. It utilizes an integrated chip antenna.

High-Flying expands Wi-Fi products portfolio with a new module designed as a successor to the HF-A11-SMT module. In comparison to its predecessor, the HF-A21-SMT  offers multiple hardware and software improvements. Moving from a 4 layer PCB to a 2 layer PCB reduced production costs. Instead of a chip antenna, the HF-A21-SMT  utilizes a PCB-printed antenna for better RF performance. The current consumption was lowered to approx. 155mA. Five GPIO lines and I2C/USB support were added. New software features include: Wi-Fi Smart Link configuration support, Apple HomeKit API support, USB 2.0 interface driver support as well as software development kit (SDK) support.
