Ingun test probes
They are precise, spring probes, whose task is to create good, yet short-term contact with the circuits elements – primarily passive components pins, integrated circuits and sections on the PCB.
Apart from making measurements and checking the track continuity, they are also used for other purposes. They can penetrate connectors and allow testing connection of the pins without exploiting the socket housing or plug. They are also used in digital electronics, where they are used to, among others, programming microcontrollers using the ISP (In-System programming) method and conducting tests through circuits installed in given devices circuitry (e.g. through serial port or CAN bus in the automotive sector). Specialised probes are used in manufacturing accumulators, or actually cells and packs, which before storing have to be charged to the optimal level for their storage and transport. Significant field, in which test probes find application, is electronic service, where automated diagnostic of the circuit helps to speed up the process of detecting and eliminating malfunction.
