ISM RadioControlli radio communication modules
In the offer of the distributor of electronic parts, Micros, you can find wireless radio communication modules produced by the Italian company RadioControlli, which is the heir to the previously known company TeleControlli. The presented products operate on ISM frequencies - 434 MHz and 868 MHz. These bands do not require a broadcasting licence
FSK with modulation
RC-RFSK1 modules are radio signal receivers with FSK modulation. They contain a built-in PLL loop as well as a quartz oscillator. They can receive data at a maximum rate of 4. 8 Kbit/s. Typical sensitivity of the receiver is -102 dBm. Power supply voltage is 5 V. There are available modules: RC-RFSK1-434 operating in 434 MHz band, and RC-RFSK1-868 operating in 868 MHz band. The RC-RFSK1 modules will prove themselves as replacements for TeleControlli's RRFQ family.
RC-TFSK is a series of signal transmitters with FSK modulation. They contain a built-in quartz oscillator. Typical transmitter power is 10 dBm. The supply voltage is 5 V. The maximum transmission speed is 40 Kbit/s. RC-TFSK1-434 modules with two rows of leads are available, as well as RC-TFSK2-434 with one row of leads. Both modules operate in the 434 MHz band.
ASK modulated signal receivers
RCASK radio modules are superheterodyne ASK modulated signal receivers. They have a built-in quartz oscillator. They are powered by 5 V and can receive a signal at up to 4. 8 Kbit/s. RCASK2-434 has sensitivity of -107 dBm, while RCASK4-434-CH, thanks to the use of noise filter, can reach sensitivity even -113 dBm. Both modules operate in the 434 MHz band. They will prove to be a replacement for Telecontrolli's RRQ modules.
RCBRX-868-M is a superheterodyne radio receiver in the 868 MHz band with ASK modulation. It is based on the RCRX-868 chip. The power supply voltage is 5 V. The sensitivity of the receiver is -112 dBm, while the receiving band is 360 kHz.
ASK modulated signal transmitters
The RC-TX series are ASK modulated signal transmitters equipped with an SAW oscillator as well as a power amplifier. They can transmit at up to 10 dBm. The supply voltage can be between 2 V and 9 V. The maximum transmission speed is 9. 6 Kbit/s. RC-TX1-434 is available with two rows of outlets, while RC-TX2-434 is available with one row of outlets. Both modules operate in the 434 MHz band.
Miniature radio modules
RadioControlli also offers miniature modules for surface mounting. One of them is the RCRX-434 receiver with a built-in PLL loop as well as a quartz oscillator. Power supply voltage is 5 V. Transmission speed is 10 KBit/s and the receiver has sensitivity -108 dBm. The received band is 600 kHz wide.
Another of the miniature ASK transmitter modules is the RCTX-434. It has dimensions of only 12 x 7 mm. It operates on 434 MHz. Power supply voltage can be from 4 V to 12 V. The maximum transmission speed is 50 Kbit/s and the maximum transmission power is 11 dBm. The module activation time is only 1 ms.
The RCTX-868-L-3V module is a transmitter with an integrated quartz oscillator, operating in the 868 MHz band. The module is in 3V version, which means that it tolerates supply voltage of 2. 2. . . 3. 6 V. The maximum transmission speed is 50 Kbit/s and maximum transmission power: 9 dBm.
ISM modules produced by RadioControlli can be used in applications such as
- Wireless security systems
- Home and building automation
- Automatic measurement readings
- Remote gate control.
