Detailed description
The AND-ETH v2 module is based on the ENC28J60 chip from MICROCHIP. It is a standalone Ethernet controller with a popular SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) connection. SPI is used for bidirectional (full-duplex), synchronous, serial data transmission between the interface chip and the controlling microcontroller. The SPI interface consists of two lines that transfer data in opposite directions (SI and SO) as well as the clock signal line (SCK).
The ENC28J60 chip is equipped with its own assigned MAC address and implements the PHY (Physical Layer) layer. The module utilizes an integrated RJ45 network jack, which includes a separating transformer and two LED indicators that signal the connection and data transmission.
