The device is a ready-made converter from USB to the DMX512 standard interface. The converter allows you to control DMX devices using a PC or laptop via the USB port. From the computer's (USB) side, the device is recognized and handled as a typical serial port. The converter is built on the FT232RL controller from FTDI.

The converter works with many free programs (virtual lighting consoles), enabling the creation of complex lighting scenes, control of moving heads, LED spotlight control, etc.

Note: The USB cable must be purchased separately.

• Supports up to 512 devices in the DMX standard
• Maximum DMX512 bus length: 1200m
• RS485 line termination resistor: 120Ω, enabled via a switch on the enclosure
• DMX512 bus protection against voltage spikes using transient voltage suppressors (TVS)
• Short-circuit protection in case of signal wire contact with the shield

• On the PC side, the device is seen as an additional serial port
• Ability to store user parameters in non-volatile EEPROM memory
