The ESP8266EX integrated circuit is a transceiver for communication in the 802.11 b/g/n standard on the 2.4 GHz frequency. It operates with a supply voltage ranging from 3 V to 3.6 V. The microprocessor supports WPA / WPA2 security protocols and can work in AP (Access Point), STA (standalone), and AP+STA modes. With AT COMMAND support, the module is easily configurable. It is equipped with the following interfaces:
-
GPIO
-
I2C
-
I2S
-
PWM
-
SDIO
-
SPI
-
UART
The ESP8266EX has been designed to meet the requirements of low power applications, such as portable battery-powered devices and wearables. Energy consumption can be minimized by adjusting the output power of the transmitter or by placing the device into one of its energy-saving modes.
