Detailed description

Kapton Tape

Kapton tape with anti-corrosive silicone adhesive (the adhesive leaves no residue after removal) can withstand very high temperatures, up to 268°C. It is offered in rolls ranging from a few millimeters to 500 mm in width or as die-cut shapes from sheets. Kapton tapes feature high dielectric resistance up to 6000V, coated with silicone adhesive that leaves no residue, and is resistant to chemicals, corrosion, moisture, UV, and aging. The tape can also be available in an ESD anti-static version, offering excellent electro-insulating properties and flame resistance class H (flame retardant).

Characteristics of Self-Adhesive Kapton Tapes

Kapton tapes have a silicone adhesive resistant to corrosive factors, chemicals, and high temperatures, leaving no residue after tape removal. Kapton tape effectively protects electronic systems and their components from overheating or damage during soldering.

Kapton tapes are also used with 3D printers that use ABS, PLA, HIPS, PET, TPE filaments. They serve as protection for the work surface against damage and as thermal insulators. Available in any width, in rolls of 33m.

Applications of Kapton Tapes (Leaves No Residue)

- production and repair of coils and transformers
- 3D printing - used as masking and protective tape
- protection from overheating of electronic systems, connectors, ICs, sockets
- protection during wave soldering
- used during repair work in computer and GSM services
- used for masking connectors on printed circuit boards
