Detailed description
LIS3DH is a digital, three-axis MEMS accelerometer with ultra-low power consumption and high performance. The device operates within a wide supply voltage range from 1.71V to 3.6V, supporting selectable full-scale measurement ranges of ±2g, ±4g, ±8g, and ±16g, as well as sampling rates from 1Hz to 5.3kHz.
With built-in features such as motion detection, free-fall detection, click recognition, and 6D/4D orientation detection, the LIS3DH is suitable for portable devices, activity monitoring systems, gaming consoles, and gesture-based interfaces. It also includes a temperature sensor, self-test capability, and a 32-level FIFO buffer for optimized data processing.
LIS3DH communicates via digital I²C or SPI interfaces, and its output data is processed with 16-bit resolution. Its power consumption is as low as 2µA in ultra-low-power mode, making it an excellent choice for battery-powered devices.
The accelerometer is available in a compact LGA-16 package with dimensions of 3x3x1mm, capable of withstanding shocks up to 10,000g. This versatile and reliable solution meets the requirements of modern motion detection and acceleration measurement systems.
