MP9486AGN is a high-performance step-down switching regulator designed for applications requiring high input voltage and stable output power. It supports a wide input voltage range from 4.5V to 100V and can supply up to 1A of current, making it ideal for industrial, automotive, and lighting applications, including LED drivers (supports PWM signal for LED brightness control) and power systems in electric vehicles.
With hysteresis voltage control, MP9486AGN ensures stability and fast response to changes in output voltage, minimizing the need for additional components. Furthermore, the built-in MOSFET with a current limit of up to 3.5A allows for reduced component size and easier cooling while ensuring high efficiency.
MP9486AGN also features thermal protection, short circuit protection (SCP), and under-voltage lockout (UVLO) with a shutdown threshold of 3.6V and a restart threshold of 4V, protecting the circuit from operation at too low a supply voltage.
