Operating principle – successive approximation method:
- Capture and store the instantaneous voltage value in the Sample and Hold circuit;
- Compare the output voltage of the DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter) with the input voltage;
- Store the comparison result in the SAR (Successive Approximation Register);
- Output bits in serial form;
- Control Logic – initiates and ends the conversion process;
- Communication with the external world – via the SPI serial interface.
