The RTC-4543 is an integrated real-time clock with a built-in quartz resonator developed by EPSON. It records the time and date with automatic leap year correction. It also features a power-down detection function with the ability to record the time of power interruptions.
The clock operates with a supply voltage ranging from 2.5V to 5.5V, and the minimum voltage required to maintain data in registers is 1.4V. The output clock signal frequency can be 32.768kHz or 1Hz. Communication with external systems is done via a 3-wire serial interface. Thanks to the integration of the 32.768kHz quartz resonator, no external clock signal source is required.
