In our store, you will find various products belonging to the fans category. Among devices offered by us there are different AC and DC fans. How do these devices differ? What fan should you choose? Please check our quick guide.

AC and DC fans

Before we answer the question of what fan to choose, we should briefly explain in what way those two types of this equipment differ. Primarily, the difference is in the version of the motor. The AC technology utilises alternating current, that is periodically changing direction. This kind of current is used to power electrical devices at 230V or 115V voltage. Devices in which the AC technology is used usually have motors, rotation in these motors is caused by a wave and inside we will not find electronics which task would have been to control the motor operation. 

On the other hand, the DC technology is based on a direct current usage, that is a current which does not change direction. In our offer we have, among others, DC fans supplying the current of 5V and 12V. Fans equipped with motors using DC technology usually need a mechanical commutator or have electronics responsible for causing the rotation. These types of devices allow regulating the rotation speed by adjusting the current charged by the motor. Devices utilising the DC technology have better motor performance and are characterised by a longer lifespan.

Various industrial fans

Our fan offer, among others, consists of fans for industry. Industrial fans are hugely diverse due to different needs depending on application. Among products offered for industry, we have both cooling fans for control cabinets, working usually on a small area, and models dedicated to providing proper air circulation in industrial halls. On the other hand, steelworks will not do without industrial fans with a smoke exhaustion function, and this is only the beginning of a long product list which we have in stock. 

What fan to choose?

The choice of a fan depends on many factors. In our store you will find devices with various parameters and various uses. Thanks to this, you will be able to choose a model adjusted to your needs and expectations. As it was mentioned before, in our offer you will find devices utilising AC and DC technology. Apart from that, fans in our store differ in dimensions, type of bearings and the presence (or absence) of a rotary sensor. 

When deciding on a fan purchase, several factors have to be taken into account, thanks to which you will be able to make the best possible decision. Parameters which should be taken into account when choosing a fan are as follows:

  • Device type - for instance, when choosing a device which is to be mounted in a canal, axial fans are a good example.They can operate in places with an oval cross-section like pipes with great success.
  • Efficiency - the fact whether a fan would be able to effectively serve its function depends on this parameter. It is assumed that the device efficiency should be at least three times higher than the cubature of a ventilated room.
  • Size of the device - for example in case of duct fans, the fan has to be adjusted to the ventilation duct diameter.
  • Operating volume - In our offer you will find devices which are capable of workingł basically silently, thanks to it, they will not negatively affect the lives of people staying in the ventilated building.
  • Price - Try to choose a device which will combine the functionality that you need with a price meeting your budget. It is possible with us!
  • Functionality - Fans can be equipped with additional functions such as: timer, motion sensor or humidity sensor, which can be really useful in e.g. industrial halls.
